New Inside Sales Manager Takes the Lead at BHS
Julia Yank Aims for Dynamic Growth in New Role
St. Louis, MO January 2015 - Battery Handling Systems, Inc., a leader in material handling and battery changing equipment, announced the addition of a new Inside Sales Manager to meet the needs of the company's growing client network.
BHS appointed Missouri State University alum Julia Yank to the position in the start of January, citing Yank's background in industrial sales, marketing and business development. Yank holds a degree in international business and has built her sales management experience through positions with several industrial clients.
"Sales is the front line for any company, and I'm looking forward to helping our team make an impact," Yank said.
The Inside Sales Manager will coordinate sales staff, connect account managers with external dealer networks, support cooperating departments within BHS and manage client accounts for the Western United States.
"Julia stood out to us for her clear ability to manage the day-to-day challenges in the Sales Department while fostering growth," said Bill Wood, BHS's Director of Sales and Marketing for North America. "We know she will effectively mentor the team for continued success."
While Yank's experience and education played a significant role in her selection, her professional approach to inside sales was especially compatible with BHS's company values and sales culture.
"Our company has always focused on building a strong network of experienced dealers, and Julia immediately keyed into those goals," said Wood. "She is committed to helping our sales staff to reach their potential while providing clients with the excellent value that they associate with our brand."
Because Yank had limited experience with material handling equipment, she immediately immersed herself in the industry by undergoing extensive instruction from BHS's staff.
"Battery handling is an interesting, diverse market, and it's crucial for so many other industries," said Yank. "I'm also committed to helping BHS build its presence in other ventures such as warehouse equipment and Fleet Trackerâ„¢ software, and I feel that our team will be very effective at exceeding our set goals."
In March, Yank will travel to Chicago to the ProMat trade show, the largest expo of the year for supply chain professionals. She will interact directly with dealers and coordinate her sales team to present information on BHS's full range of products and services.
"At BHS, every department works closely and cohesively with every other department, so it really is a team experience every day," Yank said. "All successes are shared successes."
