Triple Stack Battery Extractors

A High-Capacity Forklift Battery Changer with IIoT Integration

BHS Triple Stack Battery Extractors (BE-TS) travel safely up to three tiers high, providing quick and reliable transportation for forklift batteries of virtually any size. The BE-TS is ideal for expanding battery collections, and provides particular benefit to forklift fleets that use between 150 and 299 batteries.

A full range of sensors within the unit provides real-time data on usage and system health, accessible through the BHS IIoT Portal. Admins can acces the Portal from anywhere with internet connectivity through a secure login. Portal users can authorize operator accounts, view data on use sessions, and check notifications regarding key system perameters. The IIoT system also emails these notifications to users of the admin’s choice.

High-Capacity Battery Handling with a Smaller Footprint

The BE-TS features a heavy-duty steel frame, dual-battery beds with powered rollers, and a unique extractor arm for added efficiency. Twin-chromed and hardened shafts guide extractor arm travel, with four-point bearing contact contributing to the extraordinary stability of the extraction system. Vacuum grips treat battery cases gently and attach firmly to batteries in under a second, and optional magnetic extraction provides efficient change-outs for batteries with slim casings.

Two independent drive wheels power floor travel. This synchronized drive system provides smooth travel in any conditions. The IIoT system alerts authorized users if it detects unequal chain alignment, preventing damage to the unit and hazards to operators.

With a wide range of stock safety features, both mechanical and digital, and even more available as optional additions, the BE-TS keeps staff and infrastructure low-risk and productive. Call our sales team at 1.800.BHS.9500 to learn more.

  • Through the BHS IIoT Portal, admins can authorize Portal users and asset Operators, adjust email notifications, turn on/off a 24-hour Daily Operator Checklist requirement, view historical usage data, access logged system alerts, and more from virtually any computer or mobile device
  • Operator login prevents unauthorized access and keeps records of use sessions
  • Proximity sensors on the unit dash prevent unauthorized changes to control systems
  • No exposed components for added safety
  • Durable powder coat finish resists both acid and scratches
  • Manual control of hydraulics for easy operation
  • Vacuum extraction reduces wear and tear on batteries
  • Vacuum extractor arm adjustable for various reach requirements
  • Non-proprietary hydraulic and electrical components lower replacement part costs
  • Redesigned hydraulic system for increased flow capacities and consistent function speeds
  • Quiet-running dual floor drive system provides positive traction on wet or dry surfaces
  • BHS exclusive Non-Inter-Flow (NIF) hydraulic manifold system stabilizes the lift cylinders to ensure a level roller bed during load transfers
  • Four lift cylinders, in combination with four-point equalization, assure smooth and level vertical movement of the roller bed when empty or loaded
  • Five hydraulic-powered rollers per compartment provide a brake for safe, easy battery transfer
  • Induction-type proximity switch disables floor drive to protect equipment when the extractor arm is outside the envelope of the compartment
Audible Alarm (BE-AUDALM)
Alarm is activated while machine is in operation to notify pedestrians that the Battery Extractor is in use
BE-Mounted Water Tank (BE-WC-SS)
Stainless steel water tank allows quick, easy battery maintenance from the Battery Extractor during battery change-out
Blue Light (BE-BLU-LT)
Projects a bright, highly concentrated blue beam pattern on the ground in the direction that the extractor is moving
Custom Lasered Logo (BE-LOGO)
Custom logo can be added to the front panel of the Battery Extractor
Electric Drive (BE-EDRIVE)
Replaces hydraulic floor drive system with variable frequency drive (VFD) controlled system
Extended Reach (BE-EXTRCH)
Increases the reach of the extractor arm and is ideal for use with forklifts with outriggers
Horn (BE-HORN)
Horn is utilized by the operator to alert pedestrians
Level Assist Indicator (BE-LAI)
An LED on the dash of the Battery Extractor alerts operator when proper vertical alignment with stands is achieved
Magnet Extraction (BE-MAG)
Ideal when batteries are too narrow for vacuum extraction
Operator Shield (BE-OS)
Isolates operator console from BE roller deck
Overhead Guard (BE-OHG)
Protects the operator from falling objects
Power Roller Cut-Out (BE-PRC-1/-2)
Disengages powered rollers requiring additional input from operator to discharge battery from extractor
Safety Scanner (BE-SICK)
A compact system which scans the area in front and behind the Battery Extractor to identify objects or pedestrians in its detection zone, stopping movement of the Battery Extractor upon detection
Strobe Light (BE-STBLT)
Visually notifies bystanders when machine is in operation
