BHS, Inc. Releases Parallel Reel Payout Trailer for Bulk Cable Pulls

BHS, Inc. a leading provider of electrical material handling equipment, now offers a portable, turnkey solution for large-scale cable pulls at construction sites and other high-volume electrical installations.

The Parallel Reel Payout Trailer (PRP-TRL) mounts two or three swiveling, high-capacity Parallel Reel Payouts on a 14- to 24-foot trailer, ready for hauling and instant payout.

"Material handling takes time away from actual installation," said Melissa Bowen of BHS marketing. "With the PRP-TRL, we're cutting down on unnecessary labor to make every cable installation much more efficient."

The PRP-TRL is available in any of three models: The PRP-TRL-14 includes two swiveling Parallel Reel Payouts (PRP) on a 14-foot trailer; The PRP-TRL-22 expands to three PRPs and a 22-foot trailer; and the PRP-TRL-24 places three rotating PRPs on a 24-foot trailer that matches standard tractor trailer dimensions, allowing deckover for long-haul applications.

"When you combine shipping efficiency with work-site payout, you can see considerable efficiency gains," Bowen said. "Just deliver, park, and start pulling cable."

Each Parallel Reel Payout can be configured with any combination of free-spinning and multi-compartment steel reels, providing limitless options for custom paralleling and multi-pull jobs. Payload weight limits begin at 11,900 pounds and top out at 26,000 pounds on the PRP-TRL-24.

"Rather than moving multiple reels and jack stands, creating ergonomic risk and losing productivity, we want electrical contractors to simply park and pull," Bowen said. "That's what the PRP-TRL is for."
